Idc what others may think of my hair. It’s my pride and joy. Defines me. Separates me from the next. Is my silent rebel to society. Questions and statements such as, how do you get a comb through that, or you need to straighten or perm that. Are words my brain doesn’t even waist time deciphering or even contemplating. The second i conform to what others want me to be or think i should be is the second I lose who i am. The stars i get make me lift my head with pride. My curls springing tight with defiance. My blonde mane shines bright on even the gloomiest of days. Nothing will change me. Every morning i wake i look in the mirror and what i see starting back is a strong, intelligent, black natural and unique woman. Oh and lets not forget beautiful.
